02-06-1994 to 07-2003

Boomerang  got his name for one reason "he came back like a boomerang does". After a couple purchased him from us they separated and Boomer was not looked after proper and the Lady just gave him away for a few dollars, without notifying me. As I found out I hired someone to locate the dog and went all the way to Princeton to pick him up, along came Jim Scott who did not mind driving in the snow for many hours and was willing do help me through this rather emotional reunion with  the 4 month old pup. On the way home Boomers faith was sealed. Jim said "he is mine". Just had to convince his better half of the new addition to the family, plus they had "Dakota" a Rotti Shepherd cross. So we started thinking about names and the name Boomerang was IT. Boomer was a great boy and also produced one nice litter of pups. He was loved dearly and grew to be a wonderful friend and protector to his master.

We like to express our deepest sorrow and sympathy and
our goodbye with this Poem,

When the Time comes

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this--the last battle--can't be won.

You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.

Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close--we two--these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
